Can social media be an effective part of the mix when an organisation like the Carbon Trust wants to get its carbon reduction and low-carbon innovation messages across to UK businesses. We believe so.
Following our online audit of relevant conversations across all social media channels, we helped the Carbon Trust develop a social media strategy to capitalise on their experience and expertise amongst those communities.
The first part of that strategy - establishing the Carbon Trust's presence on Twitter to help spread news of the their innovative work - is already working well. It's still early days, but so far @thecarbontrust has already attracted more than 800 followers.
