Chlamydia is not sexy. But combining celebrity-tweeting and forum and blogger-outreach we reminded thousands of London teenagers to send off for a free Chlamydia-testing kit.
When the NHS in Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and Hammersmith and Fulham wanted to increase the number of 16-24 year olds requesting Chlamydia-testing kits from their site, we worked with our sister agency Fishburn Hedges to create a fully-integrated traffic-driving PR and digital campaign.
We mailed out collateral to prominent London-based sex and health print and video-bloggers, worked with forums like Drowned in Sound and The Student Room to start relevant discussion threads, drafted social media news releases and encouraged Big Brother’s Little Brother Jeff Leach to support the campaign in his social media activity.
Our activity led to a 1600% increase month on month in traffic to the campaign site, while the campaign as a whole delivered the highest number of in-borough screenings, month on month, in the previous year.
