Creating content on social media

Given the heavy concentration of UK students on Facebook, and the platform’s immense credibility in delivering information and entertainment in equal measure, our first work for the HMRC to get students to engage with the tax system was to create a Tax Refund Calculator on Facebook. Over 8000 students used it in the first two months of launch to find out if they were entitled to a refund on any tax they’ve paid.

Since the success of our first app for HMRC we’ve also developed a Codebreaker Quiz and a Universilly Challenged game on Facebook, both of which are repeating the original’s success.
